Hello.Would love to share with you.I think I
can add Richard to your family for George and
Ursula.
How are you a Keeling?
How are you a Keeling?I descend for sure:
I descend for sure:Thomas Keeling and Mary ? of Bedford and Coffee co.
Tn and also of Pope Co. Arkansas in their later
years. After he died in 1840, Mary returned to
Coffee Co. TN. to be near her children and live on
their home place. I have some of his probate data
and issue for several generations.

Their son Edmund was my second gr grandfather. He
married Nancey ? and had a tremendous sized family
several of which I have lines of descent.

Edmund's dau Julia/Julian was my gr grandmother.
She came to Tx, probably with a sister who later
died.In TX Julia married:
#1Ebenezer Hearn in De Witt Co. TX
He died but they had several children.
#2Charles Bruce, her brother in law. They had
several children and he was murdered about 1874.

#3Wm. D. Hughes.. they had one daughter and
apparently did not lived together very long.
Julia's oldest son took care of her until he
died, supporting her and her children through
the years in which she was widowed or otherwise
a singlemother.

Two of Julia's daughters married brothers. One dau
married my grandfather and her 1/2 sister (by Hughes)
married my grandfather's brother. (These were Adams
brothers whose line comes out of Canada as of 1848)

I am convinced that ALL of the Keelings that came to Tx
are related but how is the big question. Some of them
came straight from Tn; some of them came from Ark.
and then to Tx.Some came from Georgia to Tx.
Which line do you think you were on?

I have a good bit of data on the early Keelings in VA
and am always looking for confirmation of what I
have and something to add to the "building".It is
a very interesting family.
