African American Keels

I recently did my genealogy search at the national Archives in Washington DC. I also spoke with many of my older relatives before they passes away.

What I found out was that if your family last name was keels and that if you are african american, we are all related.

appeartly this was as original name for the african american keels.

I went back as far as the 1600's with fuller reed keels in South Carolina and GA.I also found names like Carl, David, Tuesday, Wednesday, Binah, Billa, Pompey, Psusos and James.

The Plantation I found was owned by a James Keels. I found that The Keels family name lives on in Georgia.

Please Contact me if you have any further information or If you want any further information on what I discovered.
