Although this thread is over 3 years old I'm going to post a response.

My name is Bruce McDougald (born in Waxahachie, TX 1969) and I live in Cleveland, TX. My father is James Edward McDougald, Jr. (born in Tomball, TX April '41) son of James Edward McDougald, Sr. (born in Oakdale, La. sometime around 1907 and later settled in Richards, TX).

I don't know much of my family history except that I was named for my great grandfather who I assume is the James Bruce McDougald metioned earlier in this thread. To my knowledge, James Bruce died shortly after my grandfather was born (~18 mths) and my great grandmother moved back to TX somewhere around Crockett. She later married a man named Peterson and moved to Baytown, TX and had 2 daughters.

I have heard of a Keels reunion every year in Cut 'n Shoot TX, but I have never atteneded one, and frankly never knew (until this post) of how our families were even remotely related.

I know my great grandfather had relatives in Crockett, I believe he had a brother named Dan.

My grandfather married Margaret Shue of Conroe, TX had 10 children:

James (my father)
Cleda (died ~ '46)
Carol "Linda"
John (died in '77)
Clydene "Deenie"

I would be greatful for anymore information someone could share.
