John Winfred Keene and Nancy Turner Keene

John Winfred (Winford) Keene, second child of Abner and Nancy S., was born in Tennessee and was married to Nancy Turner on 4 May 1868 in Dallas County. Nancy Turner was born in 1827 in Virginia to William R and Mary E. Turner.

To them were born the following children: 1) Alice M. born 1851, married James E. Carr. 2)Sarah A. Elvira born 1853, died 1933 married (1) Thomas Moore, married (2) Jim Nickens. 3) Levinia A. born 1855. 4) Susan Adeline born 1857, died 1898; married John Henry Morriss (my grandparents). 5) Abner D. born 1859, died 1894; married Mary Kemp. 6) Willie born 1861 (some question as to Willie my be same as Wiley). 7) Nannie Chald born 1865, died 1883' married Jim Nickens. 8) Wiley born 1868, married Vicey Scoggins (lived in Valiant, Oklahoma)
