Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I am hoping to share information on the Keen family who started out in Brighton, Sussex, in 1786 or sooner, which is the birth year of James Keen. His son, also James, was born in Brighton too, but moved to Lambeth in South London (possibly Camberwell?) sometime between 1845 and 1841.
James (junior) had several children, the first (another James!) born in Brighton in 1847, the rest being born in South London up until about 1868. My own G-G Grandfather, Alexander Richard Keen, was one of them and he lived in the Camberwell, Herne Hill and/or Brixton areas. Alexander Keen married a Caroline Wills.
