WE ARE SEEKING MALE KEEN's from either/both of the two following male KEEN's from NC and GA:
JOHN KEEN, R.S., of Sampson Co. NC (who mar. Elizabeth Curlee) - and -
WILLIAM KEEN b. 1796 NC (not related to above), who had son WILLIS KEEN born abt 1822 WASHINGTON CO.GA who mar. Margaret Elizabeth SCOTT - their ancestors went on to be born in Wilkinson Co.GA.
WE HAVE ONE MALE KEEN from each of the above two separate KEEN lines who have already taken the YDNA test and it shows they are NOT RELATED AT ALL BY BLOOD. BUT we would now like at least ONE MORE TEST SUBJECT from BOTH lines. It's always best to have at least two test subjects from a particular line, not to just go by ONE test subject from a particular line.
If you are a male KEEN from one of these lines, or know someone who is, who'd be willing to submit some cheek dna (quick and painless), we'd be very grateful! There is help with payment of the testing if necessary. You would of course get all test results. And our gratitude!
Some descendants have thought these two above KEEN lines were one and the same, but so far, the test results have shown they are separate and distinct lines.
Thanks, and please get in touch with me if you can help or know someone who can.
Best to all,
