I'm seeking info on a Samuel KEENE b c.1796 Bath, Somerset, ENG - active in London as Actor 1819 who apparently later emigrated to USA.
Following passage found in obscure memoir on Google Books ('Recollections of an Actor, by Walter [Alexander] Donaldson, Comedian', Maxwell, London 1865):
"The Samuel Keene, in the bill for Captain Thornton, is brother to the editor of the Bath Journal, and has been located many years in New York as a professor of music, and known in that city as Paddy Keene."
Anyone know of a Samuel or 'Paddy' KEENE, active in music or theatre in New York after 1820?
