SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Lucille Keene Hughes, 88, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Stowell. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery.

Lucille was born on September 30, 1921, to Viola and Ben Keene in Marthaville, Louisiana. She passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jakie; daughter, Anita Louise McFerren; and grandsons, Jeffery Austin McFerren and C. W. Greer III. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Esta Elizabeth "Liz" Bays and friend, Tommy Lord, and Wanda Jeanette Owens; son, C. W. Greer, Jr., and wife Janice; grandchildren, Janet McFerren Veuleman and husband, Eric, Jeff McFerren and friend, Gwen, Todd Greer and wife, Trish, and Robyn Greer Rhoads and husband, Ronnie; great-grandchildren, Tyler McFerren, Madeleine, Victoria, and Kassidy Greer, and Landon and Logan Rhoads; sisters, Helen Thornhill, Bennie, Betty Singletary, and Jackie; and brother, Sonny Keene.

Pallbearers will be Todd Greer, Eric Veuleman, Tyler McFerren, Jeff McFerren, Ronnie Rhoads, and Tommy Lord. Rose-Neath Funeral Homes
