I just wanted to tell you that there are at least two distinctive Keene groupings during this early time. One is the group my family is researching, Thomas and Henry Keene whose family ranges from the 1631 timeframe in Northern Neck, Kent island, into Northumberland, VA around 1645 and back and forth a bit between those dates when the region was unsettled. Eventually Thomas's group ends up in what becomes St Stephens Parish, VA and Henry's family is in Anne Arundel, MA. Another group is the Keenes in Baltimore Maryland with similar names. Another group seems to have dealings in the Barbados courts with all the same names but none of the same connections. Of course all the mix up just increases the fun. Hope you find your family soon.
