"We" trace our family to John Keep of Longmeadow, Massachusetts. (A southern suburb of Springfield.) There is no certified proof of where in England he came from. It is recorded that he was in Longmeadow on 18 Feb,1660. He died 16 years later: 26 Mar, 1676. He, his wife Sarah, and one son, Jabez, were killed by the indians as the family was going to church. The surviving children, Sarah 9, Hannah 2, and Samuel 5, went to live with their mother's family, the Leonard's. Sarah & Samuel & Hannah all married and lived out their lives in the Longmeadow area.
