Thanks for the information and advice. I fully concur with the need for positive information. I suspect that many have looked before and I do not realistically expect to reach an end to the quest. My thought was to find some reasonable places in the UK to search as well as continuing to look for sources in Massachuttes. It sounds like Bedfordshire and Berkshire would be two such places to look further.

Is there information on the Keeps' religious or political leanings at the outset of the English Civil War (1642 or so). This was just before a John Keep shows up in Springfield in 1644. Were most/all of the American colonists in Springfield Puritans who might be concerned with the Anglican leanings of Parliament?
