Thank you for your message. I do indeed have military information about Percy and Charlie Keep, which I have obtained from the Grenadier Guards and the PRO at Kew. This includes service records, Percy's MM citation etc. I would be interested in any family stories of the brothers and their experiences in the Great War. Perhaps your father knows more?
I did know that Percy is commemorated on the War Memorial inside St James Church Denchworth. He is also listed with Charlie on the Roll of Service on the War Shrine attached to the Fox Pub. There are 4 other Keep(s) listed Frederick, Jesse, Arthur and Maurice - are they any relations? According to the 1901 Census there were 3 other children in the family Kate, Norah and Fred. Percy had a widow Elsie ('nee Fletcher) what happened to her? I know from Percy's service record that she had a pension of 15/- a week. I am also interested in a photo of Percy and Charlie if you have one and are willing to send me a copy please. Charlie survived the war after being wounded several times - can you fill in what happened to him post war? By the way I have visited Percy's grave in France and have photos.
