If you are a descendant of the Keepville, Pa., Keeps, then you could have a close male relative take a simple Y-Chromosome DNA test to prove it. The indivuals you named are descendants of John Keep of Longmeadow. If you are a descendant, then that test will yield exactly the same results as other males who are descendants of John Keep of Longmeadow.

It is a sure and positive way to determine this family relationship. The person tested must be male with the surname Keep, like a brother, your father, an uncle.
