I am researching information on my my great grandfather James "Jimmy" Keep. The surname
is an unconnon one, however this site is the best hit so far. My great grandfather was African American and he lived in Claiborne County, Mississippi, which is not too far from the Keep's Plantation. Do you have any information on the slaves who might have taken the name?
