Susannah Keesecker<Andrew<John (Berkeley Co)
Posted by: Dan Date: February 17, 2002 at 10:53:38

Susannah married John Fetter in 1828 at Berkeley Co, VA (later WV) Her birth is now discovered to be close to 1807 (age 43)as she has been found in the 1850 Indiana Census under the name Susanna Gilpin. John died in 1838, so she did apparently remarry, perhaps is widowed again as no mention of husband found, no other children.

A search first in Ancestry.com found a marriage for a Susanna Fetter in Indiana prior to 1850. Then a second search in Concord Township census for any Susanna found her and the children under the name Gilpin with the children mistakenly called Fults. Ages, location of origin, and only their names in Family Number 59 most assuredly nails them down. Then I discover they live next door to my GGGgrandparents William and Rachel Knight Monroe.
Still, Henry born c.1832, Mary Ann, c.1835, and Susanna c.1838 are listed as from Ohio, so I am still looking for that location as they must have stopped there on the way to Indiana.
