His family tree shows Malinda Bass' parents as James Bass and Elizabeth Lay. Unfortunately, I don't see a source. He has Nancy as the second wife also, but no parents listed. I think this info came from a researcher named Ben Callahan who has posted on the Keeter forum. Some of the Keeters are buried at the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery near Waleska, GA, but we did not find a grave for James Jefferson or Malinda when we visited in 2004.
