I'm sorry I don't have anything on George, but I wonder if he and my Jacob may have been brothers. It struck me that not only were they both born in Dauphin County, but they were four years apart in age and each had children named (among others) Sarah, Emma, and John. Also, while George's oldest son was named George, his next son was John and Jacob's oldest son was John. I wonder if we should be looking for a John Keever to be George and Jacob's father. Do you have the Keefers/Keevers in the 1820 Dauphin County census? If not, I can give them to you. In summary, there were the following:
Jacob Keever - no sons
Joseph Keever - a son my Jacob's age, but none George's age
Jacob Keefer - a son George's age, but none my Jacob's age
George Keefer - sons my Jacob's age but none your George's age
John Keefer - sons George's age and Jacob's age
John Keefer lived in West Hanover Township.
