I don't know George Kieffer's father, or exact birthplace. I do know he was married
on 22 Mar 1809 in Washington Co., ND (Washington County Marriage Records 1809 p.37 Maryland State Archives, by Minister Rahauser. Johnathan Rahauser d. 1817 served at Trinity Ch, Hagerstown, Boonsboro, and St. Paul's Lutheran Ch. near Clear Spring, Washington Co, MD. They moved to his wife's family home in Rockingham Co, VA. 1810 VA Census Index has George Keifer in Rockingham Co. (26 Rcm Roll 67, M252). The family move west to Saline County, MO in 1837. The 1850 Census for Saline Co, MO, shows him as age 61, and gives birthplace as MD (p.22, #300)
