Donna,
We may have talked about this before. My Hawkins line is from Darlington County. My 4th great grandfather was John Hawkins born about 1750-1760 married to Constance or Content. They had two children that I know of, they were John and Zachariah Hawkins. This John Hawkins is my 3rd great grandfather, he married Lydia Sellers in 1810. I know that John Hawkins and Constance had more than two children but I have no names. Also John Hawkins b. 1750-1760 had a brother named Daniel Hawkins, he had a son named Daniel who left for Alabama after 1820. Zachariah Hawkins married Charlotte Oglesby in 1816 and then after 1820 they leave for Tennessee. This family spreads to Kentucky and Southern Illinois. My Hawkins branch stayed in Darlington where my father was born. There are still alot of Hawkins' in Darlington. I just recently found in the "Diaries of Evan Pugh 1762-1802" a passage that mentions that in 1779 he went to Keeths & Hawkins. He was a Rev., I'm certain your Keith Hawkins is in my Hawkins line. I will try to find out for both of us. I believe Keith would have to be a child of John Hawkins and Constance or possbly Daniel Hawkins, brother to John. Hope to hear from you.
Jeff Hawkins
