Richard,
I've encountered several references to KEITH, but none of them have been identifiable KEITH people, except for one...the William KEITH of Bucks Co., PA, at whose farm the troops encamped, prior to crossing back over the Delaware. One additional reference says Mr. Keith, only, and appears to reference James (son of Rev. James), but there is no info or substance to what was said....Something like "I trust Mr. Keith is well".
James, son of Rev. James KEITH, is still a big mystery. The "known" children really are just ones found in brief mention in old genealogies, without any confirmation or details of good use. Don't even have birth years for any of the 8 of them. Since only 2 married (supposedly), there is a scarcity of descendants to take up research....which is sorely needed.
