Hi Kelly, my Kelkers may be related to yours. While tracing my great X 7 grandfather, Robert Fisher Brown Sr., [b. 1759, Culpeper Co., VA.] I noticed one morning last week a new DNA submitter match on my Family Tree DNA matching results page to this/my Robert Brown line. That new surname was Weitman [sometimes spelled Weidman].

I checked the Weitman surname message board & found a message linking a PA. Kelker to Weitman, by way of a Fisher.

It looks like John Kelker married a Barbara Zimmerman. The parents of John Kelker were Rudy Kelker and Maria Weitman/Weidman. The parents of Barbara Zimmerman were Adam Zimmerman and Barbara Fisher Zimmerman.

Do any of these names look familiar to you? If so, email me and we can exchange genealogy information and files.

Some of the various [but not all] surnames that show up as DNA related to my Brown line are [but not limited to]:

Zimmerman, Weitman/Weidman, Browne, Fisher, Tanner, Phipps, Phillips, Fuller, May, Lamb, Lake, Anderson, Derr, Dere, Christian, Howell, Howard, Griffin, Grifith, Gordon, Oxford, Kirtley, Strother, Carroll, Roberts, Cauble, Smith, Rector, Guth, ect., ect... There are many, many more surnames on the DNA matches page, but these are just the ones I remember off the top of my head. You can see all of them at Family Tree DNA using my log in info, kit # 215527 & password 3C3311. Click on matches under Y-DNA, then on next page, change the results per page to 1000 & the [DNA] marker value from 37 to 12, click on "run report". Some of the DNA submitters have also included their family trees with their ancestor information.
