I don't know if this will help at all--probably not, but---
one never knows.
I agree with you Kell is not a common name.
For years I was trying to find the wife of James O'Connor
I knew her given name was Mary, and recently I learned that it may have(probably was) Kell. They wound up(don't know for sure where they originated but think James was from Ireland, and Mary from England==couuld be wrong) They had
Elizabeth in Quebec area of Canada in 1837/38 followed by
Jane, Matthew, Thomas, Patrick, Catherine, Margaret, and
Anastasia the youngest in 1852/53. Sometime before 1860 they were in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Jose area of CA.
Elizabeth m William Adam
Jane m William P Dougherty(known as Lumber king)
Matthew m Mary Bradley(my grandfathers oldest sister)
Thomas (no info)
Patrick m twice 1st Sarah Doherty dob 1853 from Missouri, they had James 1874, and Charles 1877, Sarah died by 1880, Patrick married my grandfathers other sister Margaret Bradley and both Patrick/Margaret & Matthew/Mary had large families.
I too would love to learn about my Mary Kell. Who were her parents, sibblings, where and when all were born, did any immigrate to Canada or USA if so where/when etc.
I'm only posting this because the name is so uncommon, and as I said one never knows ????
Good Luck
Barbara
