John, hope you are fighting fit real soon and get to do that travelling. I have an invite to visit a German town celebrating its 1025th anniversary in June and stay with the mayor. Pity I can't afford it. But it is something to aim for in a few years. Town is Osterwieck and my Kellings come from the neighbouring town of Hornburg. Both ancient, full of half timbered houses and undamaged parish registers. Very, very tempting to visit. Best wishes, Doug Hartley
