KELLING NUT CO., Chicago (Hi John)

The KELLING NUT CO., Chicago belonged to Maximillian John KELLING from at least the 1920s.

Max KELLING b. 27 Feb 1881 in Milwaukee, WI.

Max married Emma SOMERVILLE on 19 Jan 1910 in Milwaukee. Emma born 9 Feb, 1884 in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. She is my grandmother's sister.

Max passed away about Oct, 1969 in Chicago.

Children of Max & Emma Kelling:
Robert Somerville KELLING b. 1912
Maxine Mary KELLING b. 1916

Cruising through Milwaukee data on Rootsweb, I got a reference to an August KELLING, who "may" be Max KELLING's father. Here are basic facts from:

From "History of Milwaukee, Wisconsin" by Frank A. Flower published 1881-

August KELLING; Came to Milwaukee in 1870 from Prussia, was a carpenter, residence 754 First Street, Milwaukee. Served 3 years in the Prussian Army. In 1869 he married Dorise WISE.

Happy to E-mail the actual quote to anyone interested, a volunteer kindly looked it up for me.
