Hi! I'm new to genealogy research so be patient. My mother was a Kelling from the Goldfield area. Her grandfather was John Kelling who came from Holstein in 1854 at the age of 15 with his family. They built a cabin near Otter Creek. In 1865, he married Mary Theresa Tanck also from Holstein, Germany and they had 12 children. My mother's father was John George Kelling born 1872.

Do you think this is the same family? I would love to hear any info you have.

Dawn in Jacksonville, Florida
