I have information an ancestry of JAMES W.illiam Kellis b.1842,highland co. oh. He was my g-grandfather and his wife lived here in Dayton, Oh with my g-mother. James father was John Louis Kellis b. N.C. 1819. His mother was Lydia Murry b, N.C.1815 My cousin in arizona has been working on this line for many years. another lady in Oregon has the info on Amos' family I have a picture of JAMES Kellis from 1904. I have 2 wooden bowls he made. He was a civil war veteran and I have his list of battles. I am not currently working on this but will share what I have. A man in Ind is a descendent ofBenjamine kellis, another Brother of James. In their work I find no Charlotte b. 1909. Information I hav indicates the homeland of John kellis is Abderdeneshire in Scotland. I once was in contact with Gen Library in Edinburogh but cannot find that at this time. hope this helps someone. There were other Kellis In Ky and Tenn. and the name is being researched in N.C. under Callas. Barb Kennedy
