Hi Sue,

Would you mind giving me the nine children that you have for John and Joan French?

Do you have anything further back from William Kellow and Catherine Bishop?

We have long been looking for our James French's parents. We knew that he and his brother Thomas came to Canada about 1835 and settled in Prince Edward Island. We knew their approximate dates of births from early census records in Canada. James was a sea-faring captain and died at sea, possibly in Indonesian waters. James married Jenny Lloyd, and Thomas French married Mary Hume Kellow. They both married in Cornwall, so we assumed they came from there, and a recent visit to Cornwall of a distant cousin of ours, somehow found the John French/Joan Kellow link to Tintagel. I'm not sure of his details yet, but that part was never known before.

Mary Hume Kellow's parents were James Kellow and Jenny Tippett. They were from Padstow.

Anyway, lots to digest.
Thanks for your help!
Laurie
