My husband has been researching his KELLOW ancestors for quite some time, and although I don't know if the two families are connected, I see that we have some data on file on your great-grandparents:

Maria KELLOW Born 9th Nov 1827, married Theophilus PEARCE (Occupation: Farm Bailiff) in 1850 at Camelford, Cornwall. Two children listed: Ada and Pollie.

"Our" KELLOWs come from the St Teath/St Kew areas of Cornwall, then Totnes/Exeter, and latterly London, so it seems possible that there may be a link somewhere, especially bearing in mind the Totnes connection.
