Below I've transcribed a copy my mother in law had on her Kellow family. It was a letter written from George Franklin Kellow to his brother Richard Wesley Kellow, Sr. in 1891. It is transcribed from the Family Bible. I hope it helps someone out there. Would love to exchange information as this is as far back as I have.

Jane Kellow was born in England Endillion Portquin Feb. 14, 1830

Maria Kellow was born in England Portquin March 9, 1832

John Kellow was born in Honesdale, America May 12, 1834

Thomas Kellow Junior was born in Honesdale, July 7, 1836

Elizabeth Kellow was born in Honesdale April 23, 1838

William Kellow was born in Honesdale Sept. 25, 1840

Sarah Delephine Kellow was born in Honesdale Nov. 20, 1842

Richard Wesley Kellow was born in Honesdale Sept. 16, 1844 (died March 23, 1900)

David Kellow was born in Honesdale Oct. 4, 1846

George Franklin Kellow was born in Honesdale July 16, 1849

Thomas Kellow Senior was born in England Dec. 24, 1810

Biddy Kellow was born in England Sept. 29, 1810


Elizabeth Kellow died Aug. 25, 1840 Aged 2 years, 4 months and 2 days

Thomas Kellow Senior departed this life Jan. 26, 1852 Aged 41 years, 1 month & 2 days

Biddy Kellow departed this life Nov. 18, 1866 Aged 56 years, 1 month and 20 days

Jane Hill (nee Kellow) Departed this life Sept. 12, 1871 Aged 41 years, 6 months and 29 days

Maria Strickland (nee Kellow) Departed this life Nov. 25, 1885 Aged 49 years, 8 months, and 16 days

Sarah Delephine Doyle (nee Kellow) Departed this life Aug. 4, 1885 Aged 42 years, 8 months and 16 days

*Letter transcribed from brother George to Richard

Dear Bro. Richard, the above is a true record of our family as it appears on the family record of our Family Bible. I should have sent it to you before but it had slipped my memory until I read your letter the other day. We are all well ? ? ? and hope this will find you and yours enjoying the same great blessing.
