Hi Marlene,
VERY INTERESTING; I am researching my tri-racial WEEDEN,WHILDEN,WEELDON/BROWN family line, for which I can
make NO CONNECTIONS and have NO CLUE WHY????
The KEMP surname somehow appears as a link, have not been
able to figure ANY of it out.
Know that some of my ancestors left SC for FL, and that my
WEELDON ggrands were slaves in SC prior to 1870.
I would be most interested to know if you find further info; and IF you are " in further research.
Meanwhile, can you share ANY of the WOOTEN info w/me, as
I have also come across that surname as try to sift thru the 34 various surname spellings I find for my line?

Warm regards,
carol.
