I'm also a descendant of Thomas KENAN and Elizabeth JOHNSTONE. I don't have a lot of information on Thomas but I do on Elizabeth. But what I can tell you about both is... they were married in "Our home Armagh". Thomas and Elizabeth emigrated to the Cape Fear are of NC near Wilmington, NC in the 1730's. It is entirely possible that they went there as a result of the appointment of her brother Garbriel JOHNSTON, to Governor of NC in 1734. Thomas became a large land owner with many around Turkey, NC. Thomas died in 1766 and Elizabeth in 1789. That's all the info I have on Thomas, I don't even have names of their children. But there's loads of info on the JOHNSTONE's. Let me know if I can help.
