I have recently obtained a copy of a book entitled "The Birth and Death Records of 'Kenans since the Civil War'", Part I and II of the Kenan Family Who's Who Series published by the Family News Network. This book claims to record the Kenans who have lived and died in America over the past century. Current Kenan Resident Records.

Frankly, I have not had time to research this yet. It says it is based on SS records.

I live in VA. My grandfather was Arthur McKinley Kenan. As I understand it, two brothers came to the US on the Mayflower, one a merchant, one a farmer. My family is the farming side, mostly located around Wallace, NC. Hope this may help you. If so let me know. I have just begun to record the records of all living and nonliving family members of my family. I have some extensive history and am still researching. Sue
