Hello Shellie,
You didn't say where your William Kennedy came from but it seems from his children's names that the standard naming convention was followed. That is: The first son is named after the fathers father; the second son is named after the mother's father, the third son is named after the father. Similarly the first daughter is named after the father's mother etc.
Therefore, if this convention was used, William Kennedy's father would have been James Kennedy and his mother's first name would have been Elizabeth.
