Linda, in the history I have done by a relative, Mrs. Mae
Armstrong Davis, she says that Jonathan Kennedy had three sons, Hugh,Robert and John Kennedy and they fought Indians along with the Armstrongs in Col. Alexander Graydon's command. Some are said to have gone to Buck Co. Tennessee, but Robert went to Hastings County Kentucky and bought a tract of land he called "Kennedy's Bottom"- Apparently he left a will there and named his sons, Hugh, Alexander, Daniel, Ailea, and Rev. John B. who attended Little Log College for Presbyterian ministers. Daniel went to Green Co. Tennessee. Alexander went to Nashville. Rev. John B. was sent as missionary to South Carolina (Camden.)*He is mine. He married to Jane McAfee in Augusta Co. Pa. in 1743? Others say Fayette Co. Ky.The reference book, "Woods-McAfee Memorial" may give you more on this. John B.'s son Hugh E. Kennedy is my ancestor who loaded up with a large wagon-train and came to Louisiana. Unfortunately, I don't have anything else that may help tie your group into this. There may be something in "Tennessee Cousins" and I will try and look the next time I get to the Library. Lucy
