Moses Kennell, Granville Co., NC-1750s

I am seeking information on the Kennell/Cannell/Cammel family that was living in Granville/Bute County, NC during the period before the Revolution. In 1750, Moses Kannell was on the list of tithables for Gideon Macon, living in the household of Richard Jones where he continued to live for many years. In 1754 a John "Cammel" was living separatel;y in the same neighborhood. I am trying to trace the Virginia roots of Richard Jones and his brothers and believe that Moses and John "Kennell" may have the same VA origins. I would appreciate any information about where in Virginia Moses and John Kennell came from.
