Browsing and saw your letter. My Grandmother was born Florence Kennell in Bedfordshire,Eng.I have researched them back to just before 1800. Just farm labourers, but what is strange is they sometimes use the name CANNELL instead. We think it is the way they speak in the Midlands with broad vowel sounds. So look for those spellings as well.My line is thus: WILLIAM CANNELL =Mildred Freshwater m.10/10/1760 .They had son SIAH KENNELL =Ann Walton m.13/2/1793 in Melchbourne Beds.Their son WILLIAM KENNELL =Hannah ? (can.t find this one) then son JONATHAN KENNELL=Matilda Wadsworth m. 21/11/1845 ,then my g.grandfather THOMAS KENNELL= Ann Lawrence m.21/5/1877 Dean Beds. ..had 11 children, grandma one of those. Any connections? from Pam.
