John, Do you know it any of Moses Kennell's family were in Kentucky or Tennessee by 1802? My ggggrandmother was Nancy Kennel born 29 Nov 1799 in Kentucky. She married George T. Butler in Jackson Co., Tennessee about 1818. She had a sister or cousin named Mary Kennel born 1802 in Jackson Co., Tn. She married James A. Kirkpatrick. Both Nancy and Mary with their families moved to Wayne Co., Missouri about 1831. An interesting side bar: There is a place called Kennel Hollow in Clay Co., Tn. that used to be Jackson Co., Tn. it is located off the Dry Fork of Mill Creek where George T. Butler owned land. It is very near Butlers Landing. It must have been named for a person as there are other Hollows in the same area named for people: ie Eads Hollow, Steele Hollow, Moore Hollow. Any info or leads you could give me would be very much appreciated. Tim Freeman Notify Administrator about this message?
