I did not realize you had done so much research already. I am using Family Treemaker and would be glad to send all or part of my file if you can tell me what formats you can read.
In direct answer to your question. My maternal grandfather was John A. Kennel, then John P. Kennel, then Joseph Kennel, then Joseph Kennel again. Joseph Kennel apparently died at sea in the early 1800's. His mother was Barbara and we have a death certificate for her from France. I have no earlier information on the Kennels. All of these were Amish or Amish Mennonite. I am interested to see if we can make a connection to your family.
