I don't have a Henry Kenning in my database. My Kennings emigrated from Ireland ca. 1830 to Ontario,Canada[Elmira,Waterloo Co.& Elora,Wellington Co.] All of the original emigrants: Richard,Sr.,wife & sons Robert,James,Richard,Jr. and their descendants settled across Canada. Later generations moved to the U.S. and today can be found in Utah,Washington,California,Illinois & Michigan; however the majority are to be found in Canada.
re:Kenning religion:my original Kennings from Derry,Ireland were Presbyterian. One 3rd generation Kenning emigrated from Canada to Utah and became a Latter Day Saint. His descendants are presumably the only Mormons in my tree. Most others are various Protestant denominations.None are related to the Kennings of German descent. None it would seem are related to your illustrious evangelist Henry. I'm sorry. Best of luck in your research.
