Thomas Kenn(e)y / Bridget Lefevbre 1804
Posted by: Steven Kenney (ID *****0617) Date: January 05, 2012 at 08:35:20
  of 1417

Supposedly he was a "Yeoman" and didn't know how spell his name. His tombstone says "Kenny" but his sons spelled their names Kenney. Supposedly they came to Canada and the only records we have is for the township of Rochester in Essex County Ontario. He was granted 100 acres from a township of Kincardine. I have copies of all these documents. They both were buried in Woodslee Ontario. Our family line descends from these two people but I cannot trace it any further back.

I'm trying to find out who their parents where, where they came from in Ireland and when did they come over? There were some who thought they came via NYC and some went to Pennsylvania, some went to Ohio and Michigan and then some to Ontario. There are like hundreds of Thomas Kenney/Kenny/Kinney etc in the same date range so it has been difficult to find info.

Any tips or clues would be appreciated!

He supposedly was born in 1804 (according to tombstone).
