Greetings Kensington family researchers. I have just found you and joined in the fray. I am a great grand-daughter of Edward Thomas(1836-1901) - grand daughter of Harry(1865-1943), daughter of Ida(1909-1992). I am interested in the view that Edward Thomas was adopted - was that into or out of the Kensington family? I have a hand writted journal that Edward T wrote when he was 17 in 1824 and staying with his tutor in Devonshire, Packcombe, Dunscombe and Harcombe Hill. It only extends from April 21 to June 29th, there are numerous references to family members. I found the divorce notice which Elizabeth filed following Edward's desertion. My mother knew of his second marriage - and that there were more children - but she very "properly" did not discuss this with me. I also have a family tree which he compiled with his brother Arthur - Ann Buckingham has contacted me to let me know there are the inevitable inaccuracies from people working from memory
