This is wonderful information! Here is a bit of info on Ida LOCKWOOD. When you get ready for more info, I have Pierce & Prudence's linage back to 1600's. The title's, Grandfather, Father, etc. are thier relationships to me.

First Generation

1. Pierce Granger WRIGHT, GGG Grandfather.
Born in 1816 in Phelps, Ontario Co., NY.

Pierce Granger died in Allen, Dixon Co., NE on 30 Jun 1891; he was 75.

Occupation: Farmer, Sheriff, State Congressman in IA and in NE.

Moving in the U.S.: Pierce Granger WRIGHT moved at an early age from Phelps, N.Y, to Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI., where he lived 25 years. For five years he was sheriff of the county; he then moved to IA, where he was three times elected a member of the Legislature of that State. After a residence there of 21 years he removed again to Allen, Dixon County, NE., where he remained fifteen years till his death. He was frequently a member of the Legislature of Nebraska.

On 15 Oct 1838 when Pierce Granger was 22, he married Prudence Wilder GRANGER, GGG Grandmother, daughter of Private Lyman GRANGER, (20 Aug 1792-22 Jan 1861) & Achsah WELLS, (17 Mar 1797-14 Dec 1879). Born on 1 Sep 1815 in Sodus, Wayne Co., NY. Prudence Wilder died in Allen, Dixon Co., NE.

They had the following children:
       i.       Elizabeth, GGG Aunt, Born on 30 Jan 1840 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. Elizabeth died in Fargo, Cass Co., ND.On 4 Aug 1860 when Elizabeth was 20, she married O. F. BUTLER.Born in 1836 in Fargo, Cass Co., ND.

2       ii.       Mary, GGG Aunt (1841-)

       iii.       Achsah, GGG Aunt, Born in 1842 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. Achsah died on 8 Dec 1870; she was 28. On 7 Oct 1865 when Achsah was 23, she married James D. MALTBEE. Born in 1838 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI.

       iv. Lyman Granger, GGG Uncle. Born on 6 Dec 1844 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. Lyman Granger died in Brewster, WA in 1925; he was 80. Buried in Brewster, WA.Locust Grove Cemetery. On 30 Nov 1874 when Lyman Granger was 29, he married Ella S.?. Born in 1848 in Allen, Dixon Co., NE. Ella S. died on 5 Jan 1880; she was 32.

       v. William W. (Died as Child), GGG Uncle. Born on 3 Nov 1846 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. William W. died on 13 Jun 1849; he was 2.

3       vi.       Delany (Della), (1849-1892)

       vi. Tunis (Died as Child), GGG Uncle. Born on 26 Aug 1851 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. Tunis died on 7 Sep 1853; he was 2.

              viii.       Fannie Eliza (Died as Child), GGG Aunt. Born on 3 Feb 1854 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. Fannie Eliza died on 29 Dec 1870; she was 16.

              ix.       Carrie, GGG Aunt. Born on 13 Jun 1856 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. Carrie died in Wakefield, Dixon Co., NE. On 29 Oct 1884 when Carrie was 28, she married Harvey Hazelrigg RAWLINGS. Born in 1852 in Wakefield, Dixon Co., NE.

              x.       Nettie, GGG Aunt. Born on 14 Feb 1858 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. Nettie died in Wakefield, Dixon Co., NE in 1892; she was 33. On 31 Mar 1886 when Nettie was 28, she married O. E. MARTIN. Born in 1854 in Wakefield, Dixon Co., NE.

2. Mary WRIGHT, GGG Aunt. Born on 4 Aug 1841 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. Mary died in Fargo, Cass Co., ND.

On 10 Nov 1864 when Mary was 23, she married Martin Russell LOCKWOOD. Born in 1837 in Wahington Co., VT. Occupation: Real Estate.

Biographical Sketch: Martin LOCKWOOD, real estate, is a native of Washington County, Vt. In 1856 he came to Whiteside County, Ill., with his parents. In about 1860 he came to Allamakee County, Iowa, there married Miss Mary WRIGHT in 1864. She was born in Michigan, daughter of P. G. WRIGHT. They have three sons and two daughters. He followed farming a few years. They then came to Battle Creek, Mich. He was engaged in the sash and blind business about three years. In June, 1870, he came to Nebraska, settled at the head of South Creek, and established the first postoffice there. In 1875 he came to Martinsburgh, bought the undivided half of the town, with the mill. He also was engaged in merchandising about three years. The past two years he has been in the drug business at Ponca with the firm of Orr & Lockwood, but has withdrawn from the firm and engaged in the drug business at Martinsburgh.

3. Delany (Della) WRIGHT, GG Grandmother. Born on 15 Apr 1849 in Columbus, St. Clair Co., MI. Delany (Della) died in Martinsburg, Dixon Co., NE in 1892; she was 42.

On 9 Mar 1865 when Delany (Della) was 15, she married William F. LOCKWOOD, GG Grandfather in Martinsburg, Dixon Co., NE. Born in 1845. William died in Martinsburg, Dixon Co., NE in 1907; he was 62.

William F. LOCKWOOD, Lawyer, jurist, having been in 1861, appointed by Abraham Lincoln, Judge of the Third Judicial District of the Territory, built a fine residence in Dakota City.

In 1874, Martin LOCKWOOD, William LOCKWOOD, P. G. WRIGHT, B. O. Smith, and some others moved into Martinsburgh, NE.

They had the following children:

4. Ida Granger LOCKWOOD, G Grandmother. Born on 10 Feb 1876 in Martinsburg, Dixon Co., NE.
Ida Granger died in Huron, Beadle Co., SD on 9 Jun 1954; she was 78. Died Eventide Convaledscent Home. Buried on 10 Jun 1954 in Canon City, Fremont Co., CO. Lakeside Cemetary.

Ida Granger first married Lewis Albert LEMAY. Born in 1873 in Gillespie, Macoupin Co., IL.

They had the following children:
i. Vera Violet, Half G Aunt Born on 2 Mar 1899 in Laurel, Cedar Co., NE. Vera Violet died in Englewood, NE, Arapahoe County on 8 Jun 1983; she was 84. Buried in Canon City, Fremont Co., CO, On 26 Sep 1929 when Vera Violet was 30, she married Fredrick Nicholas CURIE

Ida Granger second married Robert Montague FOOTE, G Grandfather, son of Seneca Bragg FOOTE, (13 Dec 1825-16 Dec 1896) & Sylvia GREEN, F (-17 Aug 1899). Born on 22 Aug 1865 in Royalton, Niagra Co., NY. Robert Montague died in Canon City, Fremont Co., CO on 25 Sep 1924; he was 59.

They had one child:

Glen Lockwood married Mary Elizabeth DEMOULIN, Grandmother, daughter of Ernest Paul DEMOULIN Sr., (13 Jun 1881-1948) & Virginia Eleanor SOUTHARD, (30 Jun 1884-1963).Born on 7 May 1912 in Hot Springs, Fall River Co., SD.

They had the following children:
