I have him married to Florence McClain in Concordia, cloud Co., KS. Information from my aunt that knew Walter as a child. His father remarried and his wife did not want Walter, so he was passed around to different families. He lived with my GGGrandmother and also with my Aunt's parents. His father's wife also had a child from previous marriage. Both boys were passed around. I show that Walter had a son, Raymond. He died in Grand Island, NE. I have a picture of Walter if you are interested.
The following is the obit. of Walter's father.

Obit: William Kepford
William Kepford was born at Seneca on December 18, 1869 and died at the county farm on January 29, 1937, at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 11 days.
He was married twice. One son by his first marriage, Walter Kepford, survives and lives at Algar, Colo. Three daughters were born in his second union,
Rose, Nina and Ruby, all of who survive and live at Cowles, Neb. Four brothers, George, Charles, Mac and Ed Kepford survive and live at Chetopa; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Anderson, lives at Chetopa and Mrs. Jessie Pierce lives at Kansas City.
William Kepford had lived near Norway in Republic County since 1905.
A brief funeral service was held at the Bachelor Chapel in Belleville on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 31 and was conducted by the Rev. J. G. Roberts.
Interment was made in the Belleville cemetery.
