Hello June,

I can prove my Kephart line to Henry Green Gebhart (Kephart) born PA.

My Line:

Margaret Mary Kephart 1879-1939 born Dubuque County, IA, died Des Moines, Polk, Iowa.
she was the d/o:
Alfred B. Kephart born 1851 in Dubuque County, Iowa and
died(1914-25)probably Hiteman, Monroe, Iowa (We can not find his death year, place, or burial!)
and Letticia (Lettita, Lettishe) Jane Philips 1854 NY - 1945 Waverly, Brmmer County, Iowa burial Des Moines, Polk, Iowa (d/o William Philips and Mary Nolan of Ireland).
Alfred B. Kephart was the son of Henry Green Kephart
born 1804 in Barre Forge, Huntington, PA and died 1904 in Clarksville, Butler, Iowa. Married: Anna Margaret Burdign in 1839. Anna born 1826 in Barre Forge, Huntington, PA, and died 1862 in Concord, Dubuque County, Iowa burial in Clarksville, Dubuque, Iowa.

Henry is listed in the Dubuque County, Concord twp., 1860 census as Henry Gebhart age 45 Blacksmith born PA.
Margareth 35 PA, Alfred and Albert age 8 (twins).
I have photos of their stones, and copies other records, obits, wedding announcements (newspaper), census, and mentions in a book "Years Ago" on the town of Clarksville.

The rest I have, is from the Toni Norman Kephart/Gebhart Genealogy site. I have sent him copies of all the proof's that my aunt and I have collected.
Alfred B. Kephart's permission for his daughters to wed, has his middle initial as a "B.".

I have not searched because most of it has been done for me, and I want to find where Alfred B. Kephart is buried.
I may never, it was not required to register deaths and many have been buried with no stones. But I will keep trying.

If you are interested in my line, you may contact me at If you have any information, you would like to share, I am interested, too. Do you have any proofs for Henry Green Gebhart/Kephart and his ancestors?

Happy hunting,
