Mervin A KEPHART m. Letitia HAMMITT, 23 Nov 1871, IL
Posted by: Richard Gray (ID *****0365) Date: August 13, 2007 at 12:28:26

Mervin married Letitia HAMMITT in Dewitt County, IL

They had the following known children:

1. Perry M (b. 1 Aug 1873)
2. Thomas E (b. Dec 1877)
3. Frank M (b. 1885)
4. Dell Edna (b. Apr 1888)

If anyone has old pictures from this family, or records, I am looking for a picture or painting of my GG Grandfather Eli Gray, who seemed to be sweet on Letitia around the time he headed off to fight in the Civil War.

There is written in the diary of Letitia's Aunt Ruth Hammitt a note that "Eli sent his likeness to Letitia".

I'm just wondering if that "likeness' still exists...

Also, if anyone happens to know where to find these diaries, I am anxious to see them in whole. I only have transcribed excerpts.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Richard Gray
