Yes we share the same ancestors, but my Alfred twin of Albert was born 1851 to Henry Green Kephart (found on 1850 cnesus as Gebhart).

I have traced him to 1915 Monroe Co., IA and his wife Leticia a widow in 1920 in South Dakota. 1925 a widow in Des Moines, IA.

Alfred was alive in his brothers obits in 1913 but I have unable to find his date of death or location. The only place I have found the "B." in the middle name was on their daughters marriage license in Strawberry Point.

I am very aware of your Alfred B. Kephart and know they are not the same person. Your Alfred (& Mary) were near Spirit Lake, IA.

I am thinking my Alfred Kephart passed away in Monroe Co., IA or on the way to or in North Dakota. 1920 Leticia Kephart is found at Lidgerwood, Richland, North Dakota with her son Charles, wife Lula and family. Her daughter Margaret was married to Frank Scott of Dale, Emmons, North Dakota were Frank was placed into a hospital and they moved Margaret and children back to Des Moines. My feelings is that Alfred got sick or died during the trip, then Charles of Monroe Co., IA came to help, then moved all the family back to Des Moines, Polk, IA where they are on the 1925 census. Because of the time era the registration on deaths was not required either IA, SD, or ND.

I would really appreciate if you would keep an eye in for the death/burial of my Alfred B. Kephart.

Thanks for sharing!
