Dear Ray,
William Keppie & Janet Penston were my 5G.Grandparents. I have only got this far back in the last few weeks having liaised with a relative back in the UK.
I now live in Brisbane but was born in Newcastle upon Tyne.

My line from William & Janet is their son, John Keppie b.1760 who married Jean WILSON. They had 8 children. The 4th child was a son, David Keppie b. 1805. He married Isabella TAIT and they had 11 children. The 11th child was Janet Keppie b. 1848 and she married George CHALMERS.
The whole of this family lived around Lauder in the border country.
I use a decent program which will do family trees and will be more than happy to send you the various 'reports' that the computer constructs.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
       Bill Crozier
