On the subject of Walter Ker from Scotland.
He definitely came over in 1685. He 99.9% certainly
came in the Henry and Francis, although his name
does not appear on the usual list of passengers.
But this does not pretend to be complete. The
Henry and Francis was not shipwrecked.
He is often said to have come on the Caledonia,
but this seems to be a mistake.
I am trying to write an article on Walter Ker at the
moment (but don't hold your breath till its
finished!).
