I have a John Kerby who died 1757 in Quebec and married "unknown" about 1754 in New York (perhaps Albany). They had a son John Kerby born about 1757 Albany N.Y. who died about 1841 in Florence Kent Co Ontario. Son John married Ellison Donaldson Jun 1781 in Detroit, although most of their 12 children seem to have been born in Canada. Their names were Ann {m Tuckner, Elizabeth [m Andrew Brice], Margaret, John, Alice, Aaron Donaldson, Alexander, George Pigion [m 1 Mary Merrell, 2. Mary Cornwall 3. Helen Reid], James, William [m Mary Smith]. There is a Donaldson in Niagara Falls Ontario about 1800 that may be a connection. The next generation married Boyle, Wallen, Stewart, Fox, Harsh, Lane, [of Lambton Co, Kent Co ON or Michigan U.S.] Do any of these names strike a bell? Do you know if my first John Kerby who died in Quebec might be related to your Kerby's? Jean nose@stn.net
