Bennett Kerby

I have in the last several weeks found out that I had an uncle by marriage named Bennett Kerby. He married my ggggaunt Martha Scott in Stokes County, North Carolina abt. 1807. Bennett and other family members are buried in Chaffin cemetery in Maury County, Tennessee. He died in 1840.

I was looking for my ggggrandfather Scott when I ran across this name in a cemtery listing that I had not seen before. My ggggrandmothers brothers name was Bennett K. Scott and Bennett Kerbey was who he was named for. I am slowly piecing this together along with several other cousins and could use all the help I can get. It would appreciated. My ggggrandfathers name as it turned out was Thomas Scott.
